Date Night Conversation Starters

Happy Valentine’s Day! Well, actually, February 13th is Galentine’s Day, but this post is focused on dating so go along with me here. I’ve gathered some fun conversation starters to spark some deeper (or sillier) topics with your S.O. while celebrating this weekend!

I get that not everyone buys into Valentine’s Day. It definitely is perpetuated by greeting card and candy companies (and Target). It’s pretty cheesy and lame. But it can also be a fun excuse to love on people (your girlfriends, kiddos, or your man included)!

Date your spouse/significant other

So we’re not married yet, but I know all too well that any long term relationship can get into a rut if you’re not intentional. Some of the most common relationship advice I hear is to keep dating your spouse! This is a great episode of the RISE Together podcast about the importance of this practice (BTW, you can find a bunch more podcast suggestions on this post!). Get out and do something fun with your husband or boyfriend! It doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive, just the fact that you’re spending time together is great.

We have date night pretty much every week. Even that can feel like a routine if we don’t mix things up once in a while. One really easy way to do so is using a list of questions to spark some different conversation topics you might not talk about organically. You might be surprised by your partner’s answers! I’ve gathered a list of fun ideas for you below! Enjoy!
