Friday Five – Things I’m Loving #10

Happy Friday, friends! I’m finishing up this post sitting at the bar at my very favorite restaurant ordering my very favorite drink, chips & salsa, and tacos – in KC! I so excited to see so many good friends this weekend. Gotta get this done so I can enjoy it!

Bulldog yoga online

I heard of these yoga classes a while ago but finally gave them a try. There are so many classes to choose from! I love that there’s a range of intensities and class lengths. I highly suggest trying it out! Here’s my referral link (I get compensated if you sign up for the free 30 day trial). Namaste

Dave’s Killer Bread

I found this brand when I first started counting macros and haven’t stopped since! I picked it because the “thin sliced” kinds are smaller loaves so the slices end up being less than 12g of carbs. They also have great ingredients (nothing weird). Dave’s story is really interesting, too. Check out this How I Built This Episode about him!

Siggi’s Lactose Free Yogurt

Maybe it’s because I’m just not used to eating whole milk yogurt but this one is so so creamy and thick! I love it with some frozen wild blueberries and a sprinkle of hemp hearts. The plain flavor is pretty tart, which I wouldn’t have liked a year ago. But I’ve adjusted to less sweet yogurt since trying to cut back on added sugar and this one is delicious (and has only 3 ingredients including the lactase enzyme that gets rid of the lactose!).

Kombucha

I’m having a bit of a moment with kombucha. I sometimes want a glass of something special after dinner and this is a great alternative to wine. I’m loving finding new (fall) flavors! Remember that most bottled beverages are at least two servings when looking at the amount of sugar (refresh your memory on how to read nutrition labels with this post). I aim for less than 8 grams per serving and typically drink half a bottle at a time.

Kansas City

I seriously love this city. Planning this trip has been an excuse to think about all the great things I miss and want to stuff into 2.5 days. I’m so grateful for the friends we made here that give me reason to visit! A lot of the inspiration for the post about maintaining old friendships this week came from the effort I’ve been putting in making sure I keep these wonderful friends in my life!

Alright, I need to get back to my Mexi-Cali Bulldog and soak in all this Kansas-City-ness (next stop: Boulevard!) Have a great weekend!

What are YOU loving this week?

Tried any new foods lately? Connecting with friends or family? I’d love to hear what’s making you smile!
