Friday Five – Things I’m Loving #14

Can you believe it’s November already? We’re headed Up North tonight and going to wineries in Traverse City tomorrow. I meant it to be a fall foliage kind of trip, but it’s supposed to be in the 30s and snow… Oh well, I’m sure the drive will still be beautiful!

In case you’re new around here, I share five things I’m into every Friday in my “Friday Five” posts. They can be products I recommend, podcasts/TV shows/books, or resources (or other random things). I’d love to hear your recommendations or things bringing you joy, too! Comment on this post or connect on Instagram or Facebook.

Alright, here are this week’s things!

My Dutch oven

I have loved my Le Creuset Signature Dutch Oven since I got it about 5 years ago! I have the 4 1/2 quart Caribbean blue one. I always use it to make chili or soup. It distributes heat really well because it’s cast iron, but is super easy to clean due to the enamel coating. Another thing it’s perfect for is crusty bread! This super easy, no-knead bread recipe is simple enough for novice breadmakers (like me).

No Halloween costumes

This is the first year in my 25-year life that I don’t have a Halloween costume and I’m not mad about it! Picking a costume always stresses me out so I was perfectly content not having a need to dress up this year. I love seeing other people’s costumes (did you see the little kid dressed up as a Popeye’s Chicken Sandwich?), but was happy to not need to come up with one myself.

Ed Mylet as a podcast guest

If I’m being honest (which I always try to be on here!), I avoided following Ed Mylet or listening to his podcast because he seemed overhyped. People give this guy so much praise – I was hesitant to jump on the bandwagon. But I trust Rachel Hollis and Jasmine Star, so I listened to episodes of their podcasts with Ed as a guest. You guys, he’s awesome. He’s one of the greats in the self development space for good reason. He so genuinely supports these women and had me typing up quotes and notes throughout both episodes. You need to check out Episode 102 of the RISE Podcast and The Jasmine Star Show Episode 8.

Multi-colored nails

Loving this trend. I typically stick with neutral-colored nail colors because I don’t like when they clash with my clothes, but using multiple colors at once adds some fun! I talked about these imPress press-on nails in my first Friday Five and the obsession has only grown since. I’ve told everyone abou them and still get compliments from random strangers!

Amazon lists

Did you know you can make lists on your Amazon account? These are great for sharing Christmas and birthday wish lists. You can make them public or private or share them with specific people! They’re also useful for projects or an event when you’ve picked out products but aren’t ready to purchase them yet. Just click “Add to list” on a product page to create your first list.

That’s five! Have a wonderful weekend and start of November!

What would one of YOUR Friday Five be?
