TGIF! Anyone taking all of next week off for Thanksgiving? I’m working Monday-Wednesday and have a big presentation, but we’re getting towards the end of the year! It’s getting busy and I’m so happy for the weekend.
I’m posting this kind of late tonight, so I’m just going to get into my five. Let’s go!
Condado Tacos
Mission Taco in St Louis and KC is my favorite, but this new taco restaurant in downtown Royal Oak is a great alternative! You can pick from their menu of tacos or build you own by filling out bubbles on a scantron with all the shell options (including layered up options), meats, sauces, and toppings. The chips and salsa are delicious (always a key menu item for us) and the tacos are HUGE. This week, Hugh accidentally discovered a new drink for me by ordering me a skinny marg – the Skinny Skeleton. Highly recommend.
Lady Antebellum’s new album
This album is so good. I think Lady A returned to their original sound with this new album, Ocean. If you like country and amazing voices and harmonies, you’ll enjoy these songs. It’s on repeat for me until the Christmas music takes over.
Going through old photos
I had to dig through a lot of old photos finding some details of my Kansas City apartment for my post about decorating as a renter this week. Weeding through all the old memories was so fun! I use Dropbox to store photos and delete those that are older than about a year off my phone. They’re sorted by date so it’s easy to find certain events.
Skinny Dipped Almonds
I picked up these dark chocolate cocoa almonds this week at Target and finished the bag in one day – they are SO yummy. The chocolate coating is thinner than other chocolate-covered almonds, so you get all the delicousness with less of the sugary shell. I need to find the mint chocolate flavor to try!
Disney+
I almost can’t believe the amount of content Disney released on their new streaming app. So far, I’ve watched the live action Lady and the Tramp, multiple Disney Channel Original movies from the 2000s (any other DCOM lovers out there?) and made my way through half of season 1 of Lizzie McGuire. The nostalgia and Disney-love are real. Pro tip: Verizon Unlimited customers get it free for a year! There’s almost every Disney thing you could ever want to watch included. Dive in!
Okay that’s five! Have a great weekend, friends. I’m letting Christmas start in our home this weekend – tis the season!
How about YOU? What are YOU loving?
Are you in the holiday spirit yet? Loving your Christmas tree or new movies? Have you gotten Disney+? I’d love to hear from you!
