Happy Friday, friend! My last day of work for the year was today. It feels so good knowing I get the next almost two weeks to focus on the holidays, loved ones, and whatever I prioritize! It’s a great time to reflect on the year and look forward to the next. Here are just a few things I’m loving this week.
Being officially engaged!
Hugh proposed yesterday! We’d already been planning the wedding, but we made it official last night. I’ll share more details about how he asked another time, but I couldn’t not include this in my Friday Five today! We’ve been so overwhelmed by the love our family and friends have poured out to us today. So grateful!
Hallmark Christmas Movies
I’ve been watching all the Hallmark movies I can! They’re cheesy and predicable, but I just love them. The past few years, I haven’t known how to watch them without cable, but my family found frndly this year! frndly is an app/subscription that has all the Hallmark Channel movies on it! I recommend my favorites on Hallmark and lots of other streaming services in my Christmas Movies post earlier this week.
Simply Real Eating
I typically forget to actually use physical cookbooks, but I really wanted to support Sarah Adler and her new book Simply Real Eating. I love her philosophy of focusing on real food and simple ingredients to make yummy food. The book is beautiful and goes beyond just recipes – she gives lifestyle advice throughout. We’ve loved the recipes we’ve tried so far!
Christmas socks
This one’s random, but I love wearing festive socks! Even if I’m wearing a normal outfit to work or out and about, I’m secretly Christmasy.
Yoga
I’ve been doing yoga next to our Christmas tree and it’s so grounding. I stream classes on bulldog online.com (you can use this link to get a free 30-day trial! BTW, I get rewarded if you do – thanks!). I included bulldog in Friday Five #10 and have continued using it since. There are classes of varying intensities, class lengths from 10 minutes to over an hour, and different instructors and playlists.
Okay there you have it! Have a fantastic weekend to kick off Christmas Week! Is that a thing? It should be!
What are YOU loving this week?
What are you more excited about for Christmas? Any recommendations for me? I’d love to hear what you have to say!
