Happy Friday! We’re heading up to the Cottage as soon as Hugh is off work tonight. This week felt like it dragged, so I’m really happy the weekend is here! How bout you?
Okay, I’ll just dive right in!
Love Is Blind
I finally gave in and watched this show on Netflix and you need to, too! It sounds so ridiculous, but we got really into it. A group of men and women date without ever seeing each other for like a week. Before they can meet face-to-face, they have to get engaged. They then go on a vacation together, move in together, and get married – all in less than two months!
Showing friends Royal Oak/Ferndale
We had friends in from Kansas City (both in our wedding party!) last week and had such a great few days. Jay and I went to happy hour at Condado Tacos after I picked her up on Friday (which is on my Happy Hour List!). Saturday was pretty relaxed while Hugh worked, but we showed them Bigalora and Jolly Pumpkin in Royal Oak for dinner and drinks. We found amazing brunch in Ferndale Sunday – Public House. It’s always fun to show friends from out of town where you like to spend your time!
Painting with a Twist
A group of girlfriends and I did a wine & painting class on Tuesday. I’m iffy about my finished painting, but the class was a ton of fun! In case you haven’t been to something like this, everyone paints the same thing and an instructor walks you through each step. I really like this group of girls and liked mixing things up with an activity like this!
Bad Boys For Life
The third Bad Boys movie may be the best one. Hugh and I just watched the first two on Netflix about a month or so ago and they’re hilarious. There’s a lot of cringe-worthy violence, but Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are such a funny pair.
Wedding style planning
We’re about 6.5 months away from the wedding! At this point, we have the major things picked out and don’t have to figure out a lot of the details just yet. I’m really enjoying putting together my vision of the style of the event so I’m ready when we meet with the designers. Can’t wait to see it come to life!
Well, that’s my Five this week! Just in time to gather our final things to head Up North.
What are you loving these days?
I’d love to hear from you! Comment below.
