Friday Five – Things I’m Loving #34

Happy Friday, friends! It’s my birthday! I also posted 26 Facts About 26-Year-Old Me today to share some fun facts you may not know. It’s a pretty strange time, but I’m trying to find joy every day – especially today! I hope you’re staying away from others but still feeling connected to your loved ones and community.

While staying self-quarantined this week, I tried a few new things that I want to share! Speaking of which, I posted 33 ideas to do at home during self-quarantine earlier this week – check it out!

Simple Mills Rosemary & Sea Salt crackers

In preparation for staying at home, I stocked some new foods – especially snacks! These almond flour crackers form Simple Mills are SO good. I ate them with sharp white cheddar cheese – YUM!

Peloton at-home workouts

I’m choosing to truly quarantine the best I can – including avoiding even our apartment complex’s gym. This is giving me the chance to try out some at-home workouts. Peloton has some great ones! They’ve extended the free trial to 90 days right now if you want to try the app with me!

Get Out of Your Own Way

Dave Hollis’ book came out last week and it’s great. I read it all in one day! He uses stories and personal experiences to share lessons in an entertaining way. In contrast to his wife, Rachel, he was always skeptical about personal growth, making his perspective relatable and refreshing!

Palmer’s facial cleansing oil

After reading Jamie B Golden’s 10-Step Skincare guide, I’ve been slowly adding products and steps to my routine. One favorite is this cleansing oil (I got it on Amazon). I use it before regular cleanser at night. It melts my makeup and dirt and whatnot from the day right off! She walks through the steps and talks about this product on her “Skincare” highlight on Instagram if you want more of an explanation.

Birch Benders paleo pancake mix

I love pancakes, but don’t usually like starting my day off with a sugary breakfast. This mix is super easy to make (just add water!), has pretty simple ingredients, and isn’t full of sugar!

Okay that’s my Five this week! More new food/snacks to come next week as I try my new things from Thrive Market. Have a good weekend!

What are you loving this week?

Have these unusual times uncovered something new for you? Have you tried anything new while spending extra time at home? I’d love to hear about it!
