Friday Five – Things I’m Loving #35

Happy Friday! I hope you are staying safe and healthy as this craziness continues. I got pulled into a project to help ramp up production of critically-needed ventilators at work this week. It’s a welcome distraction, but already super busy! I may skip a Friday Five or go MIA as I dive into the project. I’m moving to a hotel in Indiana for a few weeks, spending most of the day at the plant. I love writing these posts every week though – I’ll try to find time!

How are you doing this week? Have you found a routine at home? Though there’s so much uncertainty in the world right now, I’ve felt really connected to others and the community. We’re all in this together (cue High School Musical soundtrack)!

I need to get back to work, so I’m just gonna jump in! Here are my Friday Five this week.

The Assistants

I finished this novel by Camille Perri this week and it was so cute! It’s about the assistants of big wigs at a major media company who get wrapped up into a scheme to pay off student debt. It’s a fun, easy read with good characters.

Cilantro Avocado yogurt dressing

I got this Bolthouse Farms dressing for the first time a few weeks ago – I’m already obsessed. I don’t usually go for creamy dressings (more of a vinaigrette girl), but this one is so flavorful! The ingredients are pretty good and the creaminess comes from yogurt.

Video chatting with family & friends

All this time at home has prompted video chats with loved ones! Why haven’t we thought of doing this before? I get to see my niece and nephew playing or do happy hour with the girls, even while social distancing. BTW, I shared 32 more things to do while self-quarantined if you need some ideas to avoid boredom in this post last week. Highly recommend setting up a call on zoom or Duo or whatever app you use!

Native deodorant

Natural deodorants can be hit-or-miss when it comes to effectiveness. I got really lucky with the first one I tried! Native is a stick deodorant like any regular one and it’s worked well for me over the past couple years. I love the coconut & vanilla scent. They also have cute little travel sized ones I keep in my purse or work bag!

Tiger King

This limited docu-series on Netflix is SO intriguing! We started the first couple episodes (out of seven) this week. The people in it are crazy and it’s really interesting to get a look inside their world of exotic animals. You honestly need to check it out to understand! You’ll get hooked.

Okay that’s my Five this week! Stay safe and healthy, friends.

How are you spending your time self-quarantining?
