Friday Five – Things I’m Loving #6

Happy Friday! I’ve been on vacation since Sunday, so I had to remind myself what day it is, honestly. This post will have major vacation vibes, but I tried to include actually useful stuff, too!

Florida 30A

This area is named after Florida Country Road 30A that runs along the coast west of Panama City Beach. There are a bunch of cute seaside towns and beautiful white sandy beaches. I love it here! We are staying in Rosemary Beach and have explored Seaside a little, too. Highly recommend visiting.

Working out on the beach

After discovering gym access was going to be super expensive for the week we had to get creative with exercise. One morning, my boyfriend’s brother and I headed to the beach to work out. It was fun coming up with movements that would be more challenging on the unstable ground! We even filled a wagon with a bucket of sand (which I sat on top of for him) to drag a 30 yards or so. I enjoy working out outside whenever I can. Something different, ya know?

Living proof full dry volume blast

Several influencers I follow have recommended this product, but I never believed anything could actually give my fine hair volume. But when Living Proof gave Jen from the Sister Studio a code for lots of free goodies for her birthday a couple weeks ago, I decided to finally try a little bottle. Never going back! Their dry shampoo is great, but this soaks up some oil while also fluffing my hair up. You need to try it out (linked here).

Sunscreen

I understand this one sounds dorky. But I have been so thankful for sunscreen this week so I can be out in the pool and on the beach without burning! Thank you, women’s magazines, for relentlessly spreading the message about sun protection for all those years. I think it finally sank in – you can still get tan while wearing high SPF sunscreen and reapplying often!

Start Today journaling

Beginning in August, I’ve been writing down five things I’m grateful for and ten dreams as though I’ve already made them happen. The Hollis Co’s website has everything about this practice (started by Rachel Hollis), including the episode of her podcast, RISE, that explains how to do this yourself. They sell journals with the prompts, but I’ve been doing it in a regular notebook. Starting the day with a grateful mindset can be so powerful.

And I have so much to be grateful for this week! I mean, always, but this vacation has highlighted things I take for granted sometimes. Okay, gotta get back out to the pool! Have a good weekend!

What are YOU loving this week?

I’d love to hear about what’s making you smile these days!
