Happy Friday! And happy JuneteenthI didn’t knew about this holiday until this year, but what a reason to celebrate! I encourage you to learn more about it.
It’s finally feeling like summer here. We went to the apartment complex pool for the first time this week, the sun was out every day, and it’s getting hot! I’m counting down until my family’s week Up North for the 4th – that’s when summer truly starts for me.

Getting my hair cut and colored
FINALLY. Quarantine hair was getting rough, you guys. I’m actually blonde again! It felt so good to be back around the bustle of the salon and chitchatting with my wonderful hair stylist, Pam.
Big Summer
This novel by Jennifer Weiner is a perfect beach read! I was hooked early on by the main character – a self-proclaimed “fat” influencer who’s suddenly drawn back in to her rich, skinny, manipulative ex-best-friend’s power over her leading up the friend’s big Cape Cod wedding. Things take a shocking turn and I honestly couldn’t put the book down (a.k.a. close the Kindle app). Highly recommend!
Everything But the Elote seasoning
I’ve always been a huge fan of Trader Joe’s Everything But the Bagel seasoning, so of course I had to try this new one! I tried it on popcorn. Yum! It’s cheesy and honestly tastes reminiscent of the namesake street corn.
Padma Lakshmi on Skimm’d From the Couch
Hugh and I love Top Chef and I adore the host/judge/producer Padma. She’s so elegant and poised and beautiful! I was excited to see that she was a guest on the Skimm’s podcast this week and really enjoyed the conversation in the episode! She’s well-spoken and a great role model. These black platform sandals
Aren’t they so cute!? These are Universal Thread from Target, but look really similar to popular Steve Madden ones. The elastic straps make them super comfortable.
